ET reported that cement manufacturing companies have raised cement prices by INR 10 to INR 12 per bag in West Bengal, Bihar and Orissa regions.

According to sources, currently cement prices are at INR 220 to INR 240 per bag in the eastern region.

With monsoon season coming to an end, cement prices are expected to firm up going forward. In the last couple of months leading manufacturers have seen slowdown in sales which has resulted in inventory pile up.
