Motilal Oswal has given its views on December 2011 cargo traffic. The same is as follows:

Container cargo volumes at JNPT grew 1% YoY to 5.2 million tonnes for the month of December, while all India container traffic grew 3.6% YoY to 10.4 million tons. In YTD FY12, all India container cargo (up 7.7% YoY) was boosted by JNPT (up 3.4% YoY to 43.6 million tonnes) and Chennai port (up 5.2% YoY to 22.7 million tonnes).
