Contract worker dies at sintering plant of SAIL BSL

Pioneer News Service reported that a contract worker died in an accident at Steel Authority of India Limited’s Bokaro Steel Plant on Friday.

According to the eyewitnesses, Mr Satendra Kumar (26) fell from a height while he was on inspection work of LT wheel in a Grabe Crane number 1 at the sintering plant.

Mr Satendra was rushed to hospital by co workers, but in vain.

Mr Satendra was a contract worker of R&R Construction.

Expressing their grief, the BSL officials said compensation and a job to his next kin had been offered. They also appealed all the plant worker to strictly adhere to safety rules.
