The arrival of the German Cruise Liner AIDA CARA on Sunday morning marked a new beginning for Kochi Port to emerge as a turnaround port in this part of the world.

Mr N Ramachandran chairman of the Port Trust said the anchoring of this tourist vessel can be seen as a new step in the cruise business of the port with the conduct of passenger turnaround involving a total of 1,937 guests. It also brings to prominence the standing of Kochi as the most cruise friendly destination. The cruise vessel comes with 1,135 high net worth guests and will stay at BTP berth and sail on Tuesday.
