PTI reported that The EGoM is likely to meet on December 5 and approve certain changes in the bidding norms for the upcoming UMPP in Orissa and Chhattisgarh.

A power ministry official said that "The meeting is on December 5, they are likely to discuss the changes to be made in the bidding documents for Orissa and Chhattisgarh UMPPs.”

The new bidding norms are likely to accommodate fuel availability risk, price risk due to change in prices of the fuel in coal-exporting countries, etc.
