NewsDay reported that Essar Africa Holdings Limited, a unit of Essar Group, is waiting for Zimbabwe's government to transfer mineral and ownership rights before starting operations.

Mr Firdhose Coovadia, Essar's Middle East and Africa resident director, said that the company is ready to start once the government transfers ownership of the Ziscosteel plant and associated mineral rights.
