Projects Today reported that Godavari Marathwada Irrigation Development Corporation, Aurangabad has invited tenders from prospective contractors for the construction of Sahastrakunda hydro electrical project at Kautha in Nanded district of Maharashtra.

However, the INR 209.80 crore projects are expected to be completed by 2014. The scope of work includes the construction of main concrete dam with radial gate, earthen saddle dam, waste weir, connecting channel, inlet structure.

Last date of submission for tenders is August 21st 2009.
