
GVK Power & Infrastructure Ltd recorded 45% growth in net profit as the three gas based projects were running at full capacity from the KG basin gas supplies.
Its revenues were up by 273 for the quarter ended September 30th 2009 as against the previous quarter. The company closed with revenues of INR 500.28 crore and net profit was INR 44.24 crore for the second quarter.
Mr A Issac George CFO of GVK Power in a statement attributed the spurt in income and net profit to all the three gas based projects the 464-MW Gauthami, the 235 MW Phase I and the 220 MW Phase II of GVK Industries Ltd at Jegurupadu which were functioning at full capacity.
The Mumbai International Airport Pvt Ltd had registered an increase of 10 per cent in traffic for the second quarter compared to corresponding quarter last year.
