Two subsidiaries of Gammon India Ansaldo Caldaie and Franco Tosi have won an order from KSK Energy, for the supply of boilers and turbines.
Two years ago, Gammon India took over the Italian power equipment major, Ansaldo.
Ansaldo Caldaie and Franco Tosi are units of Ansaldo that make boilers and turbines, respectively, for power projects.
While Ansaldo has sold a few boilers in India, this is the first order it has bagged after it came into Gammon's fold. For the Indian infrastructure major, Gammon, this is the first order in power equipment area.
KSK is putting up a 300 MW thermal power project at Nagapattinam, Tamil Nadu. The station is configured as two units of 150 MW each.
