Gangavaram Port sets record by discharging 80514 tonne of coal cargo

Gangavaram Port, the deepest port in the country with water depth of 20 meters, has achieved an unprecedented milestone by discharging 80,514 metric tonnes of Coking Coal cargo in 24 hours from Capesize vessel MV China.

The vessel was carrying steam coal cargo for Adani Enterprises Limited.

This is the fourth National record that Gangavaram Port Limited has achieved in the span of 20 days.

The port surpassed its earlier record of discharging 71,808 metric tonnes of steam coal in a single day from Cape size vessel MV Go Patoro on May 30th 2009.

Gangavaram Port has handled more than 231 Vessels including eight Capesize vessels and will handle another two Capesize vessels in the next 30 days.

Till date, the port has handled more than 10.5 million tonnes of Cargo with congestion free and efficient port operations.
