Graphite India disclosed a phenomenal rise in standalone net profit for the quarter ended December 2009. During the quarter, the profit of the company rose 2.15 times to INR 629.80 million from INR 293.10 million in the same quarter previous year.

Net sales for the quarter for the quarter rose marginally 4.12% to INR 2,789.40 million, while total income for the quarter rose marginally 4.42% to INR 2,848.40 million, when compared with the prior year period.

It reported earnings of INR 3.68 per share during the quarter, registering 89.69% growth over prior year period.
