The union minister of steel Mr Beni Prasad Verma has said that safety precautions/measures as prescribed under Factories Act/Factory Rules and Indian Boiler Act are already under implementation in the Steel Power Plants. In addition, the plants accredited with OHSAS-18001 certification have implemented the system of Hazard analysis and risk assessment in all the identified shops/departments including Power Plants and necessary control measures are adopted.
