Gujarat State Electricity Corp is seeking one million metric tonnes of imported thermal coal. The state-owned utility in western India is seeking power- plant coal of 5,800 kilocalories per kilogram as received basis, according to the document.

The tender is for fuel with moisture of 16%, ash of 12% and sulfur of 0.6%, delivered over 12 months at Dahej, Magdalla, Mundra or Navlakhi. The tender closes August 23.
