HCC India has been awarded INR 276.44 crore contract for construction of Pare Hydel Power Project by the North Eastern Electric Power Corporation.

The Pare Hydro Electric Project 2 x 55 MW is planned as run of the river scheme on the Dikrong River in the Papumpare District of Arunachal Pradesh.

HCC will be responsible for construction of Concrete Gravity Dam, Spilway and Appurtenant works, Coffer Dam and Diversion Tunnel, HRT Intake, Head Race Tunnel including Adits, Surge Shaft, Civil Works of Pressure Shaft, Powerhouse and Tailrace tunnel. The project will be completed in 36 months.

Technical features
1. Height of Concrete Gravity Dam = 78 meters
2. Length of HRT (7.5 meter diameter Modified Horse Shoe Shape Tunnel) = 2.81 kilometers
3. Surge Shaft (Restricted Orifice Type) having 15 meter diameter and 58 meter depth and orifice diameter 3 meter.
4. Power House (surface): Size: 68 meter x 23 meter having 2 units of 55 MW each.
