
The country's largest two wheeler maker Hero MotoCorp reported 18.61% jump in its August sales at 5,03,654 units. The company had sold 424,617 units in the corresponding month last year.
The company in a statement said that "The cumulative sales of Hero MotoCorp between April to August this year has now crossed the 2.5 million units milestone a growth of 21% over 2,086,342 units sold in the same period last year.”
The statement added that this has set the company well on course to meet the initial guidance of 6 million volume sales in this fiscal.
Mr Anil Dua senior vice-president (marketing and sales) of Hero MotoCorp said that "August has been a memorable and exciting month for us. We created a new name, identity and positioning, and have begun to build the company's new brand architecture... We are thrilled with the response to our new brand identity and campaign.”
He added that the August sales performance has set the pace for the festive season ahead and the company expects to ride on its present buoyancy.
