Noted industrialists Hinduja brothers have met Uttarakhand Chief Minister and evinced interest in developmental projects, especially in health, power and infrastructure sectors, in the state.
An official release said that all the four brothers Mr Shrichand, Mr Ashok, Mr Gopichand and Mr Prakash met the chief minister and discussed various issues related to development of projects through the public-private partnership mode.
Mr Gopichand Hinduja said that "Ashok Leyland story in Uttarakhand is very successful. We have very good experience and we want to invest more in Uttarakhand.”
The brothers also appreciated the state government's Ayush gram program which promotes ayurvedic system of medicines and said their companies would like to participate in the health sector.
They said a world-class knowledge centre can be set up in the hill state, adding that the group can also contribute to other sectors like power, tourism and infrastructure.
The brothers added that the group can also take up the development of roads under the built operate and transfer mode.
