Godawari Power and Ispat Ltd has received confirmation from the Hon'ble High Court of Chhattisgarh, Bilaspur for the Scheme of Amalgamation of Hira Industries Ltd and RR Ispat Ltd with the GPIL vide its order dated March 9th 2011.

Consequent upon said amalgamation 3,94,000 and 15,62,200 equity shares held by RRIL and HIL respectively in the Company shall be transferred to GPIL as a result of which the aggregate shareholding of GPIL shall be increased from 52,000 to 20,08,200 equity shares which amounts to 51.2597% of the total equity share capital of the Company.

Accordingly GPIL becomes holding Company of Hira Ferro Alloys Ltd wef March 30, 2011.
