
BL reported that a MoU was signed between the trade unions and Steel Authority of India Limited on November 29 to implement a new wage revision.
A press release from Mr R Radhakrishnan General Secretary of Salem Steel National Employees Union, affiliated to INTUC said that the MoU was signed in the presence of the INTUC All India President Mr G. Sanjeeva Reddy.
According to the MoU, the employees working in the SAIL’s steel plants were given a 21% of minimum guaranteed benefits.
The release added that over 130,000 employees in the SAIL’s steel plants in the country would benefit.
