Bloomberg reported that Malabar Cements Ltd is seeking 48,000 tons of imported thermal coal.

According to the tender document the Kerala based state-owned cement maker is seeking coal with 6,300 kilocalorie per kilogram air-dried basis, 12% maximum total moisture, 15% maximum ash and 1 percent maximum sulfur to be delivered at Cochin port. It closes August 29 and bids will be opened on August 31.
