Bhaskar News reported that coal smuggling is one of the threats that has haunted Jharkhand Police for a long time. The situation seems as if the smugglers are giving an open challenge to the police department.

Recently, a carrier was seized with coal being smuggled out near Highway 33. The carrier did not have any registration number plate. However, there has been no fall in the smuggling incidents in the region following the seizure.

Police claim to curb the smuggling of coal but the scene captured by lenses of Bhaskar News tells a completely different story. The pictures here show that various vehicles like autos, maruti vans, pick vans motorbikes and even bicycles are being used to smuggle coal from Ramgarh.
