Indian may put new import tariffs on Chinese aluminum

According to Mr GK Pillai Indian Commerce Secretary of India, India government will impose new import tariffs on Chinese aluminum.
Mr Pillai has not yet announced the actual quantity of the China’s aluminum exports to India. However, some of India's news said the China’s aluminum exports to India have doubled in 2008 over 2007. The new tax will go into effect within one or two weeks.
