It is reported that Andhra Pradesh government has asked the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation to take up road repair works at a cost of INR 30 crore in Hyderabad.
As per report GHMC has infrastructure projects worth INR 5,551 crore sanctioned of which projects worth INR 2,765 crore have been completed. Projects worth INR 1,084 crore have been taken up in peripheral circles to improve infrastructure facilities on a par with the city.
The Global Environmental Facilities project costing INR 59.34 crore has been taken up with the assistance of World Bank to improve facilities in 14 multi-modal transport system railway stations.
A DPR for the improvement of water supply in 12 peripheral municipalities with an outlay of INR 2,577 crore has been prepared. Also, DPRs for renovation of old pipelines in the core area at an estimated cost of INR 1,250 crore and for comprehensive storm water drainage with an outlay of INR 6,246 crore have been made.
