JSW Severfield Structures Limited a JV of JSW Building Systems Limited and Severfield Rowen of the UK has an eye on the skyscrapers for business.

JSW Severfield Structures Limited intends to produce steel fabricated material for use in building construction, such as for columns and decks.

The company is putting up a manufacturing unit in Karnataka, next to JSW’s steel plant at Bellary, at an investment of INR 220 crore.

Mr Sajjan Jindal vice CMD of JSW told BL said that the company would find business mainly from Mumbai where, thanks to a recent relaxing of FSI rules a number of 80 storey to 120 storey skyscrapers are coming up.

He said that apart from producing structural steelwork, the company will also provide design, fabrication and erection services.
