JSW Steel Ltd has announced the unaudited consolidated financial results for the quarter ended December 31, 2011.

The group has posted a net loss after tax of INR 478.90 million for the quarter ended December 31st 2011 as compared to net profit of INR 2917.20 million for the quarter ended December 31st 2010.

Total income has increased from INR 60064.50 million for the quarter ended December 31st 2010 to INR 84248.90 million for the quarter ended December 31st 2011.

During the quarter, the operating profit margin decreased 32 bps to 9.53% from 9.86% for the same period last year.
