Edelweiss Securities Limited during a JSW management meet learnt that The 2 million tonne per annum expansion, beyond the ongoing expansion to 10 million tonne per annum at Vijaynagar, is on track and is likely to be completed by June 2013.

Of this, about1 million tonne per annum will be through the de bottlenecking route and 1 million tonne per annum will be through the DRI route.

JSW will install a new EAF of 2 million tonne per annum as part of this expansion.

The total project cost of this expansion is INR 27 billion.
