India's Jaiprakash Associates said on Saturday its cement shipments in June rose 3% to 1.37 million tonnes from the same period a year ago.

The engineering and construction firm, which also has interests in hospitality and power, has the capacity to produce 21.3 million tonnes of cement a year.
