China Securities Journal reported that Jiangsu based Yangzhou Chengde Steel Tube Co Ltd seamless steel tube manufacturing leader in China declared that it has signed the first contract with India Bharat Heavy Electricals Co Ltd to provide nearly 4,000 tonnes of seamless steel pipes for the latter.

The steel pipe company may produce 0.2 million tonnes per year of seamless steel pipes with the largest spec of 1000mm*100mm which are widely used in the power plant, ocean & oil project, heavy mechanism etc the company was invested by Carlyle Asia Group starting from Mar 2007.

The first agreement indicated that Yangzhou Chengde Tube Co Ltd has stepped into South Asian market, which lays a solid foundation for the future growth.
