
Jindal Power said that it will invest INR 13,400 crore for enhancing its power generation capacity to 3,400 MW by 2013.
The company plans to raise the capacity of its 1,000 MW coal based thermal power plant in Chattisgarh to 3,400 MW in the next four years.
Mr Sushil Maroo deputy managing director of Jindal Power said that "Its a brown field expansion. We would add 2,400 MW to our existing power plant in Chattisgarh.”
The company has placed an order for power equipment with BHEL.
