
KSK Energy ventures Ltd has announced it has entered into a power purchase agreement with the Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Ltd for supply of 1,010 MW of power from its power plant coming up at Nariyara in Chhattisgarh.
The plant is being set up with coal supplies from the coal blocks of Gujarat Mineral Development Corporation. The company said that this was the largest utility PPA which the company had entered into till date.
According to a statement made to the stock exchanges, the PPA establishes the benefits of a successful public-private partnership model emerging from amongst 10 qualified bidders selected by GUVNL through a competitive bidding process.
