Kandla Port was recognized at the 27th World Ports Conference organised by the International Association of Ports and Harbors at Busan last month.

The event saw the presentation of a case study titled 'The Port of Kandla and Seafarers' Welfare' by Mr Roger Harris, Executive Director of the International Committee on Seafarers' Welfare.

The case study highlighted the excellent relationship between Kandla Port officials and those involved with the Kandla Seafarers Welfare Association.

The case study was prepared after a lengthy interview of Mr Joseph Chacko, Administrator of KSWA, taken by ICSW through Skype.
