In bizarre development pencil ingot and TMT prices sprung by over INR 1000 per tonne in locations across UP and Rudrapur.
It is learnt that whole of Northern belt is reeling under extended power cuts up to 12 hours every day resulting in shortage of pencil ingot . With most of the furnaces working half shifts pencil ingot shortage will impact the finished levels as well.
