
Projects Today reported that the MMRDA has invited pre-qualification bids on May 20th 2009 from consultants and infrastructure agencies, for construction of the iconic tower at Wadala, Mumbai which is reportedly would be the tallest building in India with a massive 101 floors.
However, the bids are required to be submitted before July 2nd and MMRDA is expected to hold a pre-bid meeting with the interested parties on June 18th.
The tower, with a height of 526 meters and 1725 feet is likely to come up on a plot ad measuring 140,000 square meters and is estimated to cost INR 4,000 crore. The proposed building will come up alongside an inter state bus terminal, both of which will be built on DBOOT basis under PPP model.
