MMRDA multi modal corridor hits roadblock
The Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority's proposed Virar Alibaug multi modal corridor has hit a roadblock. The National Highways Authority of India is planning to construct a road between Dahanu and Revas, which can make MMRDA's project financially un viable.
The 140 Km multi modal corridor is estimated to cost INR 10,000 crore. If NHAI constructs the road in the alignment of the multi modal corridor, then it will hamper the financial viability of MMRDA's project.
