It is reported that Madhya Pradesh Power Generating Company Limited has signed a MoU with MP Power Trading Company Ltd to sell 500 MWpower from its upcoming projects to the latter from 2011-12.

MPPGCL’s two new units of 250 MW each were coming up at Satpura Power station at Sarni in Betul district and these units are expected to be completed by 2011-12.

The power generated from these two units will be purchased by MPPTCL and wheeled to the state’s three distribution companies as per the reforms underway in the power sector in the state.
