Maersk Line has announced a general increase in freight rates effective November 15 in South/Asia/Middle East to Europe trade.

According to a company release, the proposed increase will be USD 100 per TEU and USD 200 per FEU. The release said that “The trading conditions for the carriers operating in these markets are still subject to unacceptable rate levels and the situation is unsustainable in the longer term.”
