ET reported that Maruti Suzuki is set to resume production at its strike-hit Manesar plant on Sunday, following restoration of supplies from subsidiaries where workers had stopped work in a show of solidarity.
The report quoted an official as saying that "With the Suzuki Powertrain workers deciding to undertake normal production immediately, the company is in position to restart production.”
He added that production at the company's three main plants in Gurgaon would resume on Monday.
Maruti had stopped production at its Manesar and Gurgaon plants on Thursday following disruption of supplies.
The nearly day long strike at Suzuki's three components units Suzuki Powertrain India Ltd, Suzuki Castings Ltd and Suzuki Motorcycle India Pvt Ltd was called off on Friday morning after the car maker agreed to start talks with workers protesting against the company's good conduct bond.
