May is unlikely to be fair for the steel mills. A typically low demand period is unlikely to be different. After the rubble rousing spring during which long product prices eclipsed pre-recessionary record levels in wilderness the market was set for correction.
The Indian Long Product Price Index ILPPI continued in downward trends with 26 points last week whereas Indian Flat Products Index IFPPI has also gone down by 17 points. The overall price index INDSPI declined by 22 points.
