Even though an extended summer gave some fillip to the market as consumption picked by 8.8% in Q1 ultimately market has taken a dive for the worse.
International scrap prices remains subdued coupled with rather resilient INR cost push has relented. Even though power shortage in southern states viz., Andhra is prevalent the situation has improved in Northern and central region with abating heat.
