Business Standard reported that the board of directors of Bangalore headquartered infrastructure major GMR Infrastructure Ltd has accorded approval for the appointment of Mr GM Rao as executive chairman of the company for five years, with effect from October 18.

It has also approved the appointment of Vijaya Mohan Ram, independent director and Mr S Sandilya independent director as additional directors.
