Mr Gauri Shankar Prasad on October 1st 2011 took over as the CEO of Rourkela Steel Plant.

Before taking over charge as the CEO, Mr Prasad, who had joined SAIL in 1977, was the executive director of the Center for Engineering and Technology at Ranchi.
