It is reported that Mr Rajkumar Ghosh has taken over as director refineries of state run Indian Oil Corp after Mr BN Bankapur superannuated on August 31.

Mr Rajkumar Ghosh a graduate in chemical engineering from IIT Kharagpur and has over three decades of experience in hydrocarbon industry. He has worked in various positions at Barauni, Mathura, Haldia, Guwahati and Panipat refineries as well as at refineries headquarters in New Delhi.

Prior to his elevation, Mr Ghosh was working as executive director refineries at IOC headquarters.

Earlier, he was executive director at Panipat refinery.

Indian Oil Corp in a statement said that "Mr Ghosh led the commissioning of Panipat refinery expansion from 12 to 15 million tonne per annum and India's largest naphtha cracker which ushered in a new era of industrial development in Haryana.”
