NHPC has posted a net profit of INR 9.66 billion for the quarter ended Sept. 30, 2011 as compared to INR 6.90 billion for the quarter ended Sept. 30, 2010, registering an increase of 40%.

Total income has increased from INR 14.52 billion for the quarter ended September 30, 2010 to INR 21.63 billion for the quarter ended September 30, 2011, representing an increase of 48.97%.
