
PTI reported that NHPC will raise INR 2,000 crore debt in the next five months by issuing bonds and term loans in the domestic market.
Mr ABL Srivastava CMD of NHPC said that it would raise the debt at a rate of 10% to 10.5%. The debt was required to fund the company's plans to add 678 MW in the current financial year.
Mr Srivastava said that NHPC is executing 10 projects with a total capacity of 4,502 MW. The projects would be financed through internal resources, subordinate debt and market borrowings.
