Neyveli Lignite Corporation announced that its board of directors at the meeting held on October 26th 2009 has accorded approval for the proposal for setting up of a 50 MW capacity wind power project in the state of Tamil Nadu.

The company further said that the board has also approved for proceeding with the issue of tenders for setting up of the above project on total turnkey basis and the placement of order for setting up of the above project will be made with the approval of the board after evaluation of the final project cost.
