The Professor NP Gandhi Memorial Metallurgy trust has invited Mr. Amit Mazumdar, an alumnus (1963) of the Metallurgy Department of IT- BHU to be a visiting professor for the year 2011-12.

Mr. Mazumdar currently heads MINMET Resources, Goa.

He visited the Department during July 18-23, 2011 and interacted with the students and faculty members.

He delivered several lectures encompassing the following topics
