It is reported that the MV Seabourn Spirit has become the sixth luxury cruise vessel to call at the New Mangalore Port in the current financial year.

A press release by Mr S Gopalakrishna traffic manager of New Mangalore Port Trust said that the vessel called at the port on December 8 with 203 passengers and 114 crew members. Of them, 81 passengers opted for a ground tour and visited places in and around Mangalore.

The release said a majority of the passengers were from the US, the UK, Germany, Canada and Australia. The vessel, which came from Mumbai, sailed to Kochi. J.M. Baxi & Co was the agent of the vessel in Mangalore.
