
The board of directors of Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd has cleared two major investment proposals worth INR 2851.14 crore. The first proposal is for ‘Transmission System Strengthening in Western Part of WR for IPPs Generation Projects in Chhattisgarh’ at an estimated cost of INR 2127.51 crore to be commissioned within 32 months from the date of investment approval.
The second proposal is for 'Northern Region System Strengthening Scheme - XXIV' at an estimated cost of INR 723.63 crore. This project is to be completed in 36 months from the date of investment approval.
