POSCO's overseas steel processing centers supply steel products to local markets after finishing the initial processing of the originally coil shaped materials, which includes cutting and blanking at the requests of customers.

Maharashtra State, where POSCO IPPC is located, features the production facilities of such global carmakers as General Motors, Volkswagen and Fiat.

Following the opening of its first plant in 2006, which processes electrical steel sheets, IPPC also opened the second plant in recent years to provide customers from automotive, home appliance and heavy industries with high quality steel processing and reliable logistics services. With the new facilities, IPPC is recognized as a leading comprehensive steel processing center.

The company is working hard to maximize customer satisfaction. Service of local CTL providers caused problems early on, as they used to provide CTL lamination products, mixing authentic GO products with generic ones. Additionally, the lack of qualified transformer designers led to low efficiency transformer designs.

To solve these problems, IPPC opened a transformer design center for GO clients, through which it provides a total GO service composed of slitting, CTL, transformer design and laminated core. High efficient transformer design and consulting is also being executed. With all these efforts, IPPC succeeded in achieving a higher level of customer satisfaction.
