
Reacting sharply to reports that POSCO company is scheduled to commence ground leveling work at the site early next year, Mr Abhay Sahu president of POSCO Pratirodh Sangram Samiti said that both the company and the state government are day dreaming.
The would be displaced people have already taken a vow to lay down their lives to protect that land and livelihood, he pointed out adding that for four years people have prevented the government and the company to grab the land.
Mr Abhay said that "Nothing has changed, the situation remains the same so there is no way the plant work can begin.” He added that “Entry to villages will be sealed if the government or the company tries to commence work. The project will face stiff resistance from the affected villagers of three panchyats of Dhinkia, Nuagaon and Gadkujang.”
He informed that POSCO Pratiorodha Sangram Samiti has already chalked out its plan to face any attempt by the government to thrust the project against the will of the people. Mr Abhay said that "Repression by the government will not be tolerated.”
