
Express News Service reported that anti POSCO outfit, POSCO Pratirodha Sangram Samiti lifted barricades to facilitate entry of surveyors into Dhinkia village for survey for proposed POSCO steel mill after a request from the district administration.
PPSS leader Mr Sahoo clarified that the outfit put up the barricades after officials declared completion of survey on Wednesday.
He said “'We lifted the barricades after district collector sought our cooperation in the survey work and implementation of development works.”
He, however, said barricades would be re erected once survey work got completed.
The POSCO zone became off limits to officials after activists of PPSS recreated barricades in Dhinkia and Gobindpur on Wednesday and the officials and the survey teams were turned away by anti PSOCO activists.
